My Rock Is Also Your Thing was a solo exhibition in Jeanine Hofland Contemporary Art where Beckers brought together three performances that he developed in both 2011 and 2012: Three Options (2011), No chance of success whatsoever (2012) and Advantages and Disadvantages (2012). In the exhibition the performances themselves were not on display, but instead were re-presented trough other means. With the sets and props that were used in the performances, as well as photographs of the respective protagonists. Lastly the audio-recordings of the performances were presented to the visitor with an actual audio tour.

“The amount of embarrassment you should feel for another person’s failures, depend on the chance of success that those actions initially had. For the bigger the chance of success, the bigger the failure. And the bigger the failure, the bigger the embarrassment you should feel.”
