In the video Sticking Plaster Solution three stories are brought together that all deal with vicious circles. The vicious circle of a wire fence that needs continuous repair or of the one question in a French test that you don't know the answer to, but keep going back to.
Beckers tells these stories while he is trapped in his own vicious circle; he continuously tries to put up a film poster on the wall, that keeps falling. The poster is from the film The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie, a 1972 Luis Buñuel film in which a group of people make several unsuccessful attempts to dine together.
In the video Beckers puts up the poster with the scotch tape from three elaborately shaped tape dispensers, that were exhibited alongside the video.

First of all, I was there to make the exam, I took classes for three months to even be allowed to take that exam. So how could I waste my time, doing exactly that?
